Brad Feld - Mobius Venture Capital
Brad Feld is a Managing Director at Foundry Group and has been an early stage investor and entrepreneur for over 20 years. Prior to co-founding Foundry Group, he co-founded Mobius Venture Capital and, prior to that, founded Intensity Ventures, a company that helped launch and operate software companies and later became a venture affiliate of the predecessor to Mobius Venture Capital. Brad currently serves on the board of directors of Gnip, Oblong, and Zynga Game Network for Foundry Group. Previously, Brad served as chief technology officer of AmeriData Technologies. AmeriData acquired Feld Technologies, a firm he founded in 1987 that specialized in custom software applications. Brad had grown Feld Technologies into one of Boston’s leading software consulting firms prior to the acquisition. He also directed the diversification into software consulting at AmeriData, a $1.5 billion publicly-traded company which was acquired by GE Capital in 1995.
In addition to his investing efforts, Brad has been active with several non-profit organizations and currently is chairman of the National Center for Women & Information Technology and co-chairman of the Colorado Governor's Innovation Council. Brad is a nationally recognized speaker on the topics of venture capital investing and entrepreneurship and writes widely read and well respected blogs at www.feld.com and www.askthevc.com.
Brad holds Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Management Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Jim LeJeal - Outside/Independent
Jim is Chairman and CEO of Oxlo Systems Inc. a developer of packaged software applications that facilitate inter-company integration initiatives. Prior to founding Oxlo Jim ran Lejeal Investments, a private equity firm located in Louisville, CO, where he co-invested with local venture capital firms in 10 investments. One investment, The Dante Group, was acquired by WebMethods in 2003. Prior to Lejeal Investments Jim was a co-founder of Raindance Communications, a publicly traded company (NASDAQ: RNDC) where he held the positions of COO and CFO. He led Raindance’s fundraising efforts (raising $170M in capital culminating in Raindance’s IPO in August 2000) and led operations, customer support, sales, marketing and finance efforts. Raindance had over 400 employees and annualized revenues in excess of $40M at the time of Jim’s departure.
Prior to founding Raindance Jim was co-owner of Link-VTC, a Boulder based video conferencing company that was acquired by Global Crossing. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Gold Systems and Rally Software Development.
Jim has an MBA from Loyola-Marymount University and is a Distinguished Graduate from the US Air Force Academy.
Tim Miller - CEO, Rally Software Development
Tim Miller is a serial entrepreneur with over 14 years experience in managing, building and growing software companies from startup to Fortune 1000. Before joining Rally as CEO, Tim started Avitek, a 40-person, custom software development firm. He grew Avitek to over $10 million in revenues before BEA Systems acquired Avitek in 1999. Tim helped create BEA’s highly successful Portal Development Group and then served as Vice President of BEA’s Accelerated Development Centers where he managed over 150 employees and over $40 million in revenue.
Tim is actively involved in his community as a member of Social Venture Partners and is a member of the Rocky Mountain Chapter of Young Presidents’ Organization.
Tim received his MS degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder, a MBA from ASU at Tempe, and a BA in Economics from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
Lisa Reeves - Vista Ventures
Lisa Reeves is a General Partner at Vista Ventures, a $75 million Colorado-based venture capital firm specializing in early-and growth-stage investments in information technology, communications and media and data services in the Rocky Mountain region. Lisa has 14 years of experience in the technology industry and five years of experience in the venture industry. Lisa was with SAP Ventures, the Palo Alto, CA and Walldorf, Germany based corporate venture fund of SAP AG. In addition to direct investing, she was also responsible for the strategy and overall performance for all venture activity on a worldwide basis.
Prior to SAP Ventures, she spent eight years in consulting, sales, and marketing roles in SAP America. Prior to SAP, Lisa held positions at the Chrysler Corporation.
Lisa holds a MBA from the American Graduate School of International Management (“Thunderbird”) and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Kalamazoo College.
Peter Roshko - Boulder Ventures
Peter Roshko is a General Partner with Boulder Ventures and has over 21 years of venture capital and consulting expertise. Peter was a General Partner at Mohr, Davidow Ventures (MDV) in Menlo Park, California for nine years where he concentrated in software, medical devices and services. He was a Board member of Vantive Corporation for nine years from its founding through its IPO and subsequent sale to PeopleSoft (NASDAQ: PSFT). Additionally, Peter is currently a Board member of Trust Company of America, Xifin and ProStor.
Prior to joining MDV, Peter was a Senior Consultant with Arthur Andersen & Co. in San Francisco where he planned, designed and implemented management information systems for a variety of client engagements.
Peter holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Science degree (cum laude) in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University.
Bryan Stolle - Mohr Davidow Ventures
Bryan Stolle is a General Partner at Mohr Davidow Ventures. A former entrepreneur, founder and chief executive officer, Bryan brings significant company building expertise to MDV. Bryan has led investments and holds board seats with HotChalk and Helpstream. He focuses on and invests in people, ideas, and companies that are trying to solve important business problems using new technologies, business models, or processes. Stolle co-founded MDV-backed Agile Software in March 1995. He then served as a member of the Agile board of directors and as Agile CEO through April 2006, and as Chairman of the Board until Oracle acquired the company in July 2007. Prior to founding Agile, Stolle served in various executive marketing roles at Sherpa Corporation, a developer of enterprise product data management software and Rexcom Systems, a software company he co-founded. He started his career at EDS.
Stolle holds a B.A. in Business Administration and an M.B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin. Stolle is a visionary and pioneer in the PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) industry, and is a popular speaker on the topics of PLM, enterprise product strategy, and outsourcing. He also serves on the advisory boards of the Santa Clara University Leavey School of Business and the University of Texas McCombs School of Business, as well as the board of the San Jose Children’s Discovery Museum.
