Industry luminary joins other leaders to teach the principles of Agile software development through Agile University
BOULDER, Colo., June 7, 2007 - Rally Software Development Corp., the leading on-demand provider of Agile software life cycle management solutions, today announced that industry luminary Jim Highsmith will offer public courses through Agile University, a training organization dedicated to advancing the adoption of Agile approaches. Highsmith will offer two courses taking place July 10 - 12 at Agile University headquarters in Boulder, Colo.
The first course, Creating an Agile Enterprise, identifies the benefits of creating an Agile enterprise and six critical transition areas including, organization, processes, culture, alignment, governance, and performance. The second course, Agile Project Management, uses both presentation and practical exercises to outline how a well-thought-out approach to Agile project management can help increase innovation, keep costs down, and shorten product development cycles.
"If companies are to survive in this turbulent economy, they must re-examine both their processes and their perspectives with regard to change, and Agile software development is a major part of that movement," said Highsmith. "I'm excited to be a part Agile University so that organizations can learn how to take Agile from a single team to an entire enterprise."
The Creating an Agile Enterprise course is offered at Agile University headquarters in Boulder, Colo., on July 10, 2007. Agile Project Management is offered at the same location on July 11 and 12, 2007.
