Team Jumpstart

As a leader in providing software organizations with the knowledge, coaching and tooling for succeeding with Agile development, Rally provides a proven approach to adopting Agile practices. This customized training and coaching session is ideal for teams getting started with Agile practices to help you jumpstart your adoption and quickly navigate common roadblocks on the road to Agile. After this four-hour guided discussion, you will understand how to adopt Agile practices in simple stages, what types of supporting technology will best map to your needs and how to effectively collaborate across teams.

Approach

Team JumpStart begins with an assessment of your current agility. Your Rally coach provides a self-assessment that guides you in rating your team’s adoption of key Agile disciplines. You and your coach then use the results of this assessment to create a list of key topics to address, in priority order, during the four-hour coaching session.

Workshop Details

Team Jumpstart training sessions are unique to each team and context, but common topics are often addressed, including:

• Release planning
• Iteration planning
• Iteration review and retrospective
• Backlogs and prioritization
• Stories, tasks, and estimating
• Estimation of team velocity
• Team signaling and communication (tracking progress)
• Test case management
• Defect management

$1,000, Delivered via web and phone conference.

Availability

This coaching and training session is delivered by phone and web conference and is appropriate for all team members. Specific roles that benefit from the Team Jumpstart depend on the topics selected, but generally include: product managers and analysts, project managers, team leads, developers, testers, and technical writers.
